EASTERN PANHANDLE — Mental Wellbeing Coach Amy Nida is bringing The Mental Wellbeing Club to the Eastern Panhandle. This new program is designed to create a safe space for people to connect with others and gain tools to help them deal with mental health issues.

When Nida was dealing with a lot of stress and mental health problems as she was going through some personal issues, she noticed how much that stress impacted her body. She started doing her own research, learning about the nervous system and found it so interesting she decided to start taking classes. She eventually learned about the Mental Wellbeing Company, a global organization that focuses on trauma coaching and giving people the tools they need to process it. Nida decided to partner with the company, becoming a mental wellbeing practitioner and brand partner, to use the program to help others.

“The club is designed to create a safe space,” Nida said. “Though my target is to reach women and moms, it can be for everyone.”

The club will focus on how the body reacts to trauma and mental health issues. Nida said there will be an educational piece where people can learn more about the brain and nervous system so they can recognize key indicators that they might need to take a step back and ground themselves. As a mental wellbeing coach, there might also be an opportunity for group coaching sessions.

“It’s important because so many people struggle with mental health,” Nida said. “So many people feel alone even though we live in a world where it’s so easy to reach others. Many people don’t have a family nearby and they don’t have a tribe. The club is meant to create that connection and give people a safe space.”
