The California Highway Patrol has activated a Silver Alert to help the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department locate a 63-year-old woman with a mental health disorder missing Saturday from Gardena.

La Havey Kive Hill was last seen at about 9 a.m. Saturday as South Cahita Avenue and East 148th Street, according to the CHP. She was believed to be on foot.

Hill is Black, 5 feet tall, 190 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, last seen wearing a black jacket, black jumpsuit, black hat and brown shoes.

Her family is concerned for her well-being because she suffers from a mental health disorder and requires medication, according to the LASD.

Anyone who sees Hill, or knows where she is, was asked to call 911.

The CHP activates a Silver Alert when an elderly or developmentally or cognitively impaired person goes missing and is determined to be at risk.
