EWC Rivals Work Together for Mental Health Awareness

For the second year in a row, EWC competitors Two Rivers and Roncalli come together to promote mental health awareness.

The teams will square off at Two Rivers High School on February 3rd, where they will also raise money for Shoot’n For P.

The non-profit organization is dedicated to increasing awareness of mental health issues, dismantling the stigma associated with suicide, and advocating for suicide prevention among young people and student athletes.

Shoot’n for P was established in memory of Paxton Armbruster, a Mishicot High School student who lost his battle with suicide, and had a passion for basketball.

The organization is also home to the Shots Made Challenge, a youth fundraising initiative that motivates children to give their best in sports, work on their shooting abilities during the off-season, and raise funds for speaker events and scholarships for student athletes.

During the game on February 3rd, attendees will be encouraged to buy 50/50 raffle tickets, t-shirts, and ribbons, with proceeds going to Shoot’n for P.

The JV2/JV teams will tip off at 5:45, followed by the Varsity contest at 7:00.
