WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – When it comes to mental health, one organization is working to ensure everyone has access to resources.

HopeNet Wichita is a faith-based mental health nonprofit organization that transforms lives through counseling.

“We have right now eight licensed therapists and two student interns in graduate school, so we can offer therapy to a wide range of people in our community, including play therapy,” said Catherine Lewis, HopeNet’s Program Director. “We can see children starting at age three working with their problems through play.”

The nonprofit also offers poverty reduction and mental health services on an ability to pay scale.

“Our clients are able to pay the fees they pay because our donors fill that gap,” Lewis said. “So each time we see a client leave, we get to see the fruits of our donors’ faithful giving to us.”

KWCH and DeVaughn James Injury Lawyers provided support for the nonprofit in recognition of it providing the community with mental health services.
