GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – A shelter in place has been lifted in Grand Junction after police assisted with a mental health crisis Tuesday afternoon.

The shelter in place was implemented around 23rd Road and G Road, where there was a heavy police presence in the area.

The Grand Junction Police Department said the shelter in place was implemented while the police department helped the Colorado State Patrol contact someone experiencing a mental health crisis.
