Psychological specialist Rahaf Makhlouf stressed that this type of seminar is extremely important, noting that women are a vital part of society and that focusing on their mental health is essential because it is reflected in their physical health. She also called on all women to seek help whenever they feel the need for psychological support, praising the efforts of the Izla Foundation and all institutions that focus on such initiatives.

The Izla Foundation, a non-profit social, humanitarian, and cultural organization concerned with women’s affairs, was established on 11 October 2025 in Daramsuq, with the aim of supporting and empowering women socially and psychologically. It works to implement awareness and development programs that contribute to strengthening women’s roles in society through seminars, workshops, and community activities focused on mental health issues, capacity building, and psychosocial support.

The Chairwoman of Izla Foundation’s board, Ibtisam Faddoul, told SyriacPress Agency:

“As part of our preparations for the foundation’s celebrations of International Women’s Day, which coincides with the annual anniversary of the martyr İzla Neriman Rohyo, whose name and memory our foundation is proud to bear, we decided to carry out several activities, including a psychosocial support seminar. This stems from our belief that women are among the most affected by crises and wars, and that we must work on the psychological dimension to alleviate trauma and enhance women’s mental health, so they can support their families, their communities, and contribute to their advancement.”
