Tori Spelling’s living conditions have become a topic of concern after her podcast co-host Amy Sugarman described the actress’s home as reaching “borderline hoarder” levels during a recent episode of “misSPELLING.”
Sugarman suggested Spelling’s cluttered living space may be contributing to the 52-year-old actress’s recurring health issues, including a recent eight-week illness that forced her to stop working. The podcast co-host connected Spelling’s “messy” home and difficulty parting with possessions to her frequent illnesses.
During the podcast discussion, Spelling sent Sugarman a photo of her living room, which the actress said had become her “gifting suite.” The image alarmed Sugarman, who noted the Christmas tree remained up and the space had become unusable.
“Tori, this is not good,” Sugarman said. “You can see the bones in here, like the shelves could be really pretty, the living room could be really pretty. You have beautiful things. You can’t even sit in there.”
Sugarman estimated “400 stacks of s–– in the house right now” and told Spelling the chaos likely contributed to why she “could not work for two months.”
Spelling acknowledged the situation has reached a point where she has “stopped having people over” and would not take business meetings at her home. The actress, who is caring for five children, admitted, “Yeah, it’s all just sitting here in piles.”
The home was more “presentable” when Spelling lived with ex-husband Dean McDermott because “he wouldn’t live like that,” and she had help at the time, according to Spelling. The couple split in June 2023 after nearly 18 years of marriage. A November divorce judgment revealed they owe more than $1.7 million in unpaid federal and state taxes, Page Six noted
They share five children: Liam, 18, Stella, 17, Hattie, 14, Finn, 13 and Beau, 8.
