There are many ways to cope with mental health. One of them is having a pet. Let us know what pet you own and how have your pets been helping your mental health?
I have been researching many cultures/systems/religions for a few years now and I am noticing the more “spiritually advanced “among them see the need for pets/animals and possession of them to be a sign of mental health issues. As it perpetuates the feelings of attachment
I suffer from anxiety and depression on and off for years. Having a dog helps me cope a lot and teaches me to take things/days a day at a time.
I wish my mom and dad would see this is tried explaining I need a pet because I’m really tired of comming home to being isolated in my room but as soon as I bring it up they say “nope. Your grades aren’t all 95 and above.”
Bandaid instead of attacking the real issue at hand
I Love dogs I so want one
i got a pet and it made my anxiety and stress levels go up a lot. dont listen to this video.
I really want a dog but I don't have time now to take care of a puppy. That upsets me
Of course they won't judge us they can't even talk lmao
After I moved away, I've been doing great at my job. However, outside of work, I feel like I might be mildly depressed. I find it harder to shower and brush my teeth regularly. I'm wondering if it's because I don't have a cat anymore.
There was a girl whom I loved with all my heart. So much so that I made plans for our lives and changed my career towards that direction. But unfortunately it did not workout and she left me. I don't want to mention why because I respect her privacy. The pain was unbelievable. It felt like my whole world was crushed. I literally did not have a reason to wake up or do anything in my life. For the next 6 month I mental and physical health was in shambles.
Then my friend told me that his German spitz has given birth to 4 puppies and would I like to have one. He did not have the space and he was giving them away. I was not sure but I went to his to check them out. A little fur ball came to me as I entered his apartment and started sniffing me. He followed me through out the whole time. She chose me. I did not choose her. I took her home with me.
Honestly, she saved my life. She saved me from myself. All I am, my excellent results in the University, my excellent physical condition is completely because of her. She made me happy. Everything just followed.
Her name is 'Pushy Pushy' because she rubs her nose on my chest everyday on the couch before she falls asleep in my arms.
Dog is man's best friend. This is God's honest truth.
I'm my dog's rescued human
LOVE LIFE
I'm 19 year's old and I have no friends and no girlfriend Just no one to even reach out to, I decided to own a dog to keep me company and ease my loneliness.
As a veteran who has tried to get my mental health on track since I’ve been out..the dog 🐕 is the best treatment I’ve found bar none…
👏💯❤️
Love the way this video explained everything so beautiful ❤️
having pets is also selfish, pets are essentially for satisfying human needs, whether mental health or companionship, many animals also hate confinement, like hamsters, their lifes are totally dependent on you, and you are their owner, master, you are the one that depict what they eat, wear and do, if they don't like it, they also can't talk back, maybe that is why people like them.
My dog cured me depression. He saved me from myself.
I don't feel lonely anymore.
My life has a meaning now
That's a dam lie… animals make people's mental health go even higher😂 hell I got some friends that got four pigs in their house two goats in the pen inside the house I think three dogs and 7 cats and then four more dogs outside with five ducks I can't tell you how many chickens they got one small heifer cow and three more goats out there and then two giant pigs.. now you tell me this damn Animals help people with mental health sounds like it just makes it worse more and more animals😂 … hell there's no room in the house so they make the kids sleep on the floor and in the couch the snakes are in the kids rooms they can't sleep in there lmao.
I’m bioplor stage one my dog helps keep me from losing my mind go around my dog spend time hours I end up feeling better my dog won’t leave me alone if I’m not okay stay close to me love dogs
If you are going to get a pet for a depression, don't go for a mamal
Freshwater Fishes +i recommend you platy fish
Or a turtles like red eared sliders would be better
They will follow you becasue they know you provide them foods
And thats it, that is all
Dog on the other hand would be your family, would be like winnie the pooh of yours
Just don't talk
Got my beagle puppie 2 years ago that angel on four legs changed my life and saved it as well. I owe him everything and never stop showing him unconditional love every day.Always can sense when my mood is low and knows exactly how to lift it. Thanks little Buddy.
this helped so much, i genuinely couldn't thank you enough, this video i showed to my dad and its convinced him to get me a dog, so now i just have to convince my mom, its lifted a bit of stress and nervousness off my chest. thank you so much.
We were shown your video at school. Greetings from Belarus
Idk why it’s been so hard but I’ve had my fur baby since I was 12 years old (I’m 24 now) and now that I moved out of my parents I can’t keep her in my apartment bc they won’t allow me to pay a pet rent bc no animals. I feel so much more anxious and depressed without her around. She’s an hour away at my mom’s house 😢 I get to see her sometimes. I’ve asked 3 drs for a ESA letter and no one will write it. I was raped when I was 5 and constantly have anxiety and nightmares from the trauma you’d think I’d make an amazing person for an ESA especially bc I already had her for years (I just moved out like 2 years ago) and she helped so much with everything.
I just played catch/fetch with my dog. And even watching him run around, having the time of his life was enough to make me smile 🥹🥰 he was so happy lol just kickin it and it was absolutely adorable ❤❤
Honestly the pain of losing a pet sucks but I say it’s worth it
I’m getting a pup in couple of days and can’t explain how excited I’m am ☺️
I have epilepsy, and my meds, exercise, etc, still don't completely control them. Sometimes leads to a bit of depression. My little puppy makes me more active, have things to do, on and on. Even though my seizures are not under control, and never will be because I'm one of the few who are simply unlucky. My dog Teddy makes me feel soooo much better!! GREAT video!! Thanks!!
I raised my cat since a kitten and i can full on say she saved my life and gave me a whole new perspective of purpose.
Very nice Video …. 🌈
My dog used to stress me out
Dopamine is white cells in the human body and dogs attack our dopamine as we get closer to them. This is what people feel and why they are scared. Lack of dopamine cause discomfort and unhappiness not related to emotion. Our immune system is also associated to dopamine. Having dogs around you will attack and reduce your dopamine. This is why dogs are always hungry, food restore dopamine. Some people are not aware of it because they are not sensitive. You will age faster too, stay away!

Dogs are so lovely & friendly! 🐾💜
This video actuality made me more depressed. I can't even afford to properly take care of myself, let alone an animal! Thanks for making me feel worse
