Verland, a provider of residential community homes and services for adults with intellectual disabilities, autism and other behavioral health conditions, has acquired Carnegie, Pennsylvania-based health agency Triad Behavior Support Services.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the addition of Triad Behavior Support Services will expand Verland’s portfolio of specialized services for the elderly and capabilities such as comprehensive assessment, behavior support plan development, and training to Verland’s portfolio of services.

“Exceptional work happening at Verland,” Dr. Marianne DiMatteo, chief operations officer at Verland, said in a LinkedIn post. “So excited to bring Triad into the Verland family.”

The deal will also add four residential homes to expand Sewickley, Pennsylvania-based Verland’s geographic footprint into Washington County, a new market for the provider. Right now, the company has a workforce of around 750 employees, and it will add more 50 employees post-acquisition.

“Triad built something exceptional,” Verland shared in a LinkedIn post announcing the acquisition news. “Specialized behavioral expertise developed through trust, discipline, and a relentless focus on individuals with complex needs. Verland brings nearly five decades of infrastructure, clinical depth, and statewide stability. Bringing the two together is not about size. It is about sharpening skills, extending reach, and strengthening what already works. This is what responsible leadership looks like in a maturing system of care.”

The acquisition will also strengthen nursing and clinical coordination capabilities across the Pennsylvania markets Verland serves, the company shared.

On its own, Verland had an annual revenue of $75 million. It is unclear how much that may increase with the addition of Triad.

The deal officially closed on March 5, according to PitchBook.
