Teen "mental health" problems couldn't have anything to do with the fact that they'll never own a home, have traditional families, retiree, or avoid being killed in a war we have no business fighting, could it? For their whole lives, they will have to pay a trillion dollars yearly in interest on debt they did not create or benefit from. That is rape.
In conclusion, you have to be a brain-dead moron to believe cow farts significantly contribute to global warming, no matter how many studies the polluters generate.
Our government is the number one polluter in the world. They are also solely responsible for all the perpetual misery suffered by our citizens. We live in a Christian freak show, not a civilization.
When I was a teen, Projo had pages of want ads for jobs. Drinking water was freely available, and so were restrooms. There was a lot more open space. We were not confined to sidewalks, and the streets were far less crowded. Teens were more likely to be outside than inside. We had Saturday morning cartoons intended for children based on war, drunkenness, and domestic violence.
Why would you limit it to social media and children?
My interest in YouTube is apparent. I have been using it for quite some time. Whenever I see videos that I am not interested in or find appalling, I mark them that way for YouTube to see.
I have no weapons of any kind or interest in them, including military weapons. I am anti-war. I am anti-violence. Religion is a ruse, all of it. I especially do not want to have Christians telling me how I must change. Religious freedom is supposed to protect me from that. They have churches where you can share your beliefs. If you want to argue whether or not God exists, I'm in, but beyond that is harassment. There is no good reason for me to conform to any religion; that is a very personal insult that will be followed. My response is not hate speech, even though YouTube disagrees. It is me standing my ground and firing back in kind. I am not religious. You can't keep sending me religious videos and then complain about my response; that is not how religious freedom works. That is perpetual harassment. So, what do my recommended videos from YouTube look like? Religions, war, men beating up women, men hating women, lots of guns, a nonstop showcase of our military weapons, and constant "we killed them" videos. Videos promoting Christianity and Judaism. Many ads from weapons manufacturers and beautiful women I can order from overseas.
Americanism is a cancer to human existence, and there will be consequences along the way. No country has ever been at war for over 95% of its existence and created health.
We have had the same ills for over 300 years, and the bandages we applied along the way have reached the end of their shelf life. This is not a teen problem; it is an across-the-board problem. The government has a belief, and it wants evidence to support it. Teen mental health is not the root; it is a symptom. America needs a come-to-reality moment.
Social media has become Hypnotical Media. It's all about marketing and fakery; nothing is real, it's changing the brain, literally. There's a mindfulness book called 30 Days Without Social Media by Harper Daniels that I found helpful to escape that trap and return to myself.
