The North Central Missouri Mental Health Center Board of Directors approved the purchase of a building during its March 16 meeting, securing a future location for services in Milan.
Executive Assistant Pam Wright reported the property, located at 112 East Third Street, was acquired from High Hope Employment Services, Incorporated, for $25,000. The building is intended to become the agency’s permanent Milan office as it prepares for the expiration of its current lease in August.
Planning for renovations is expected to begin in the coming weeks, as the organization prepares the facility for operational use.
According to Wright, the mental health center currently serves approximately 70 clients each week at its Milan office. Services provided include therapy, community support, and Healthcare Home programming.
Agency leadership indicated that establishing a long-term location is expected to support service continuity for individuals and families in the Milan area.
