PORTSMOUTH, Ohio. (WSAZ) – The old Mitchellace shoe string building is getting ready to see new life.

A re-dedication ceremony was held Thursday as The Counseling Center is getting ready to consolidate.

The organization said once the larger facility is ready for them to move into, it will act as a main campus for a number of services.

“And our main programs and service that we offer to the community is drug and alcohol services,” said CEO Andy Albrecht.

The building will be the main campus for The Counseling Center as part of a consolidation.

The construction is expected to take about three years.
