New Orleans nonprofit to raise funds for mental health services at soiree
STRENGTHEN TEETH, BUT OTHERS CLAIM THAT IT’S ACTUALLY HAZARDOUS. A LOCAL NONPROFIT IS LOOKING FOR YOUTH TO HELP RAISE MONEY FOR MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES. TICKETS ARE ON SALE FOR THE ANNUAL NATIONAL ALLIANCE FOR MENTAL HEALTH, RAISING HOPE AWARENESS BENEFIT. THE NIGHT OF DRINKS, FOOD AND AUCTION RAISES MONEY FOR PROGRAMS FOR MENTAL HEALTH ADVOCACY, EDUCATION AND SUPPORT. THE ORGANIZATION SAYS THEIR NEED HAS GROWN SINCE RECENTLY MERGING WITH THEIR NORTHSHORE CHAPTER. WE’RE ALL AFFECTED IN SOME WAY, SOME FORM, WHEN IT COMES TO MENTAL ILLNESS. The National Alliance on Mental Illness Southeast Louisiana is hosting a night of food, drinks and auctioning with the goal of raising money for mental health programs.The annual Raising Hope soiree offers a way for the community to donate to expanding mental health education, advocacy and family support across Southeast Louisiana. This year, Virginia Weinmann will serve as the Champion of Mental Health Award recipient.The Raising Hope soiree takes place on March 27 at The Lakehouse New Orleans.Individual tickets cost $150 and can be purchased here.
