The behavioral health clinic at Samaritan Hospital is dealing with staffing shortages.
A spokesperson for the hospital says its challenges are tied to a national shortage of behavioral health clinicians and an increased demand for mental health services. They said they sent a letter to about 250 patients who had both their doctor and therapist leave the clinic.
Officials added that during the transition, they’re working to give patients any prescriptions they need.
Hospital leaders also say they are increasing efforts to recruit mental health professionals and support staff.
