ELK MOUND (WQOW) – The man charged with setting fire to Shooters Showgirls in Elk Mound last year has been ordered to undergo a mental health treatment plan.
Colton Jansen of Comstock was found Guilty But Not Guilty Due to Mental Disease of arson. Charges of burglary and possession of burglary tools were dismissed. Jansen was sentenced to a 15 year treatment plan on Thursday.
The fire happened on January 18, 2025. According to the criminal complaint surveillance video showed Jansen using a propane torch to start the fire, and using a metal bar to attempt to break into the ATM, pull tab, and stuffed animal claw machines. Jansen told police he started the building on fire because strip clubs are against his beliefs.
