They give people a safe place to go when they are struggling.
The new locations, also in Hammersmith and Fulham and Hounslow, are provided by Hestia, a charity that specialises in mental health crisis support.
They are run on behalf of West London NHS Trust.
Safe Spaces offer a free, safe and welcoming environment for adults (18-plus) who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious or unable to cope.
People can walk in without an appointment or referral and speak with trained staff who offer compassionate, non-judgemental support, and help to connect people with the right services.
Open in the evenings, weekends and bank holidays, Safe Spaces provide support at times when many other services are often closed.
These Safe Spaces provide a community-based crisis alternative to emergency departments, helping people access support earlier and preventing mental health crises from escalating.
Ealing Safe Space is in the Wolsey Wing of St Bernard’s Hospital. 020 3869 2791

Alongside the new Safe Spaces, Hestia has been re-commissioned to deliver ‘Coves’ across Harrow, Hillingdon, Brent, Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea.
Hestia has provided these services, known locally as ‘Coves’, since 2020. In the last year, it supported almost 5,000 residents who were struggling with their mental health.
