The stage is being set and the spotlight will shine on local youth as the 2026 Youth Talent Show for Mental Health Awareness returns to the Council of Organization.

The event has become a staple of community support and creative expression. Presented by Zack Ball and the Great Start Learning Center, the show provides a positive platform for young men and women to showcase their gifts while addressing a critical issue: the mental well-being of the younger generation.

Organizers are encouraging parents and community members to attend, whether their children are performing or simply to help root the contestants on. The event serves as a reminder that the community is standing behind its youth, supporting both their artistic talents and their mental health journeys.

The show takes place May 2 from noon to 4 p.m. at 4521 35th Avenue in Meridian.
