HAWESVILLE, Ky. (WEVV) — RiverValley Behavioral Health (RVBH) has announced the opening of The Emerald Lodge, a new 16-bed residential treatment facility for men in Hancock County.

The facility, located in a nature-inspired setting designed to support recovery and self-reflection, expands RVBH’s substance use treatment services into the region’s rural communities. The program provides personalized care for men addressing both substance use and co-occurring mental health needs.

“By bringing residential treatment to Hancock County, we are strengthening our ability to meet individuals where they are and provide the support needed for lasting recovery, wellness, and hope for the future,” said Dr. Wanda Figueroa-Peralta, President and CEO of RiverValley Behavioral Health.

 

The Emerald Lodge utilizes a multidisciplinary clinical team to provide a person-centered approach to care. Services offered at the facility include:

Full medical, psychological, and social assessments

Integrated care for mental health and substance use

Individual and group therapy

Access to Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)

One year of extended aftercare and support

Michelle Nobles, RVBH Vice President of Outpatient and Crisis Services, emphasized that the program is designed to treat the “whole person,” addressing physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. The lodge operates within a trauma-informed framework and is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
