Boy band Tomorrow X Together and Unicef launched a global initiative focused on youth mental health on Wednesday.
Titled “Together for Tomorrow,” the campaign centers on setting empathy as the starting point for an unprejudiced understanding of mental health and targets children and adolescents struggling with their psychological health.
It was developed in partnership with Unicef and the Korean Committee for Unicef following a signing ceremony at the organization’s headquarters in New York last October.
“We hope this campaign brings a small measure of comfort to children and young people around the world,” Tomorrow X Together stated during a press conference in Mapo District, western Seoul, on Wednesday. “We also hope that our energy can become a strong shield for your hearts.”
The “Together for Tomorrow” campaign is featured on the
Korean Committee for Unicef website. The committee posted a promotional video on its
official YouTube page on Wednesday, in which the band members give an overview of the initiative.
Tomorrow X Together is also slated to appear on the Unicef YouTube channel in June to conduct a “counseling session,” with the members sharing their stories and messages to the world.
Tomorrow X Together debuted in 2019 with the EP “The Dream Chapter: Star.” The quintet, consisting of members Soobin, Huening Kai, Beomgyu, Yeonjun and Taehyun, is known for its songs “Crown” (2019), “9 and Three Quarters (Run Away)” (2019), “0x1=Lovesong (I Know I Love You)” (2021) and “Sugar Rush Ride” (2023).
