Andalusia, Ala. (WDNews) — Grace’s Haven Ministries is working to help individuals across Lower Alabama access mental health care and essential support services, according to information released by the nonprofit organization.

The ministry partners with healthcare providers to help remove financial and practical barriers that can prevent people from receiving treatment. Assistance offered through the program includes help with mental health appointment copays, behavioral health service costs, and prescription medication copays.

Grace’s Haven Ministries also provides additional support services including clothing, personal care items, community encouragement, and connections to local assistance programs.

The organization said financial hardship and lack of necessities can significantly impact mental health recovery and hopes to provide both practical help and compassionate support to those in need.

Grace’s Haven Ministries is located at 1219 Dr. M.L.K. Jr. Expressway in Andalusia and also operates a community thrift store to help fund counseling and mental health support services.
