LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign lit up green as Boys Town, Nevada, marked Mental Health Action Day and urged people who are struggling to seek help.

Over the past five years, the longtime nonprofit has helped more than 200,000 children and families through various programs.

District F Commissioner Justin Jones said the event was meant to remind people who need help that they are not alone.

Boys Town reports that Nevada currently ranks last in the country for access to mental health resources, and the organization said it is working to change that.

For anyone who needs help, Boys Town operates a 24-hour mental health hotline at 1-800-448-3000.
