A groundbreaking ceremony was held for the new Youth and Family Behavioral Health Center in the City of Orland. The new facility is being constructed in the area of 8th Street and South Street.
ORLAND, Calif. – Construction is underway on the new Orland Youth and Family Behavioral Health Center at the site on 8th Street and South Street.
According to the Orland News, the center will consolidate behavioral health services and expand access for residents.
However, some neighboring property owners say they were never notified about what was being built and worry about this type of facility going up where they live.
“This is a convenient way for people to get all the services they need under one roof. No more driving from point A to point B,” said Glenn County Supervisor Monica Rossman.
The 10,000-square-foot facility is funded by a more than $17 million state grant. It’s expected to open by June 2027.
