Miracle Minds Therapy has opened North Las Vegas’s first Certified Community Behavioral Health Center (CCBHC), a new facility on Las Vegas Boulevard near Lake Mead designed to deliver rapid, wraparound behavioral health services to one of the region’s most underserved communities.

The center eliminates Medicaid prior authorizations, allowing patients to receive care on the spot with no delays. Walk-ins are welcome, and the model integrates support for housing instability and food insecurity alongside clinical treatment — addressing the social factors that compound mental health challenges.

Founder and CEO Ash Mirchandani says the need is acute. “One in five residents of North Las Vegas need behavioral health,” Mirchandani said. His approach goes well beyond traditional therapy. “We don’t just treat the symptoms; we treat the cause,” he explained. “We have services like basic skills training, targeted case management, and psychosocial rehab.”

The CCBHC designation, widely regarded as the gold standard for behavioral health delivery, is central to the center’s model. “That designation is really transformative, not only in terms of the model of delivery of care, but also with how quickly you can get access,” said John Wickett, chief operating officer of Miracle Minds.

Wickett emphasized that the multidisciplinary structure sets the center apart from conventional outpatient therapy. “You don’t just get one therapist. You get a treatment team,” he said. “We address issues like housing instability, food insecurity, lack of access to primary medical care — all of those things that indirectly impact a person’s mental health by impacting their sense of well-being and their ability to live.”

For patients who have faced barriers navigating the traditional mental health system, the immediacy of care is a defining feature. “They can walk in the door and literally get care without limitations on day one,” Wickett said.
