For Mental Health Awareness Month Here Are Local Resources That Can Help
May is Mental Health Awareness Month and I think it is really important that we talk about this because mental health is just as important as physical health and the Tri-State has some really great resources available if you or someone you love needs support right now. Mental Health wasn’t normalized to talk about in past years and that’s why it’s important to know that it’s okay to not be okay.
First things first. A number you need to remember not just for you but for other’s as well is 988. If you find yourself in a crisis or having thoughts of hurting yourself you can call or text 988. That is the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline and someone is there to answer around the clock.
