MEDIA RELEASE__ NAMI Hancock County, the local affiliate of NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, presents new Family-to-Family and Peer-to-Peer mental health education programs.
FAMILY TO FAMILY
NAMI Family-to-Family is an 8-session educational program for family members, partners and friends of adults living with mental health conditions. The course is designed to help all loved ones understand and support someone living with a mental health condition, while maintaining their own well-being.
The program is taught by trained teachers who are also family members who know what it is like to have a loved one living with a mental health condition.
This class begins Wednesday, May 27, from 6-8:30 p.m. and will meet every Wednesday for 8 weeks, in the NAMI Hancock County building located at 305 W. Hardin St. in Findlay. Must be 18+ to attend. Registration is now open.

PEER TO PEER
NAMI Peer-to-Peer is an 8-session education program taught by trained Peer Mentors living in mental health recovery themselves. This free and confidential course for adults living with mental health conditions is designed to encourage growth, healing and recovery among participants.
The NAMI Peer-to-Peer education program focuses on learning about the brain and body, growing a support group, communicating with health professionals, community resources and more.
This class begins Tuesday, June 2, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and will meet every Tuesday for 8 weeks, in the NAMI Hancock County building located at 305 W. Hardin St. in Findlay. Must be 18+ to attend.
