A Cordova father was charged after his 9-month-old son allegedly tested positive for fentanyl.

Raheim Hastyle Fuller Sr., 29, of Mockingbird Drive, is charged with unlawful conduct toward a child. He was taken into custody Tuesday.

Fuller’s warrant claims that his 9-month-old son was unresponsive when he was taken to MUSC Health-Orangeburg on July 9. The child allegedly tested positive for fentanyl.

The child was flown to MUSC in Charleston for further treatment.

During the investigation, Fuller consented to a blood and urine test.

His urine test allegedly came back positive for fentanyl and marijuana.

Investigators claim Fuller admitted to using drugs in the home while his infant son was present.

The S.C. Law Enforcement Division assisted with the case.

Orangeburg County Magistrate Valerie Lawrence set Fuller’s bond at $10,000 cash or surety on Tuesday. She ordered him not to have any contact with his son. Fuller posted bond later that day.


Pedestrian shot in Orangeburg

If Fuller is convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison and a court fine.

• Someone shot a Lombardi Court home outside Orangeburg at 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Five bullets struck the home, damaging a front window and shutter.

The person in the home wasn’t physically injured.

• Someone stole a black utility trailer from a Charleston Highway home near Orangeburg. The theft was reported Tuesday.

The 5-1/2-by-10-foot trailer is valued at $3,000.

• A Delton AR-15 .223-caliber rifle was stolen from under the backseat of a 2007 GMC Sierra parked on Brickle Street near Orangeburg between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Oct. 19.

The value of the gun is $1,000.
