Pediatric primary care providers—including pediatricians, family physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants—now have until Friday, June 5, 2026, to register for an upcoming three-day, virtual mental health training hosted by Yale Child Study Center.
The Patient-Centered Mental Health in Pediatric Primary Care (PPP) course is designed to help clinicians diagnose and treat mental health conditions commonly encountered in pediatric practice. The June session will be held via Zoom across three consecutive days: Friday, June 12, through Sunday, June 14, 2026.
PPP includes two components, starting with three days of interactive training designed to build skills and confidence in diagnosing and treating pediatric behavioral health problems. This is followed by a four-month case-based follow-up program.
Participants join eight one-hour group conference calls, held twice per month, with national primary care and child and adolescent psychiatry experts to reinforce their learning. Continuing education credit is available for both components of the program.
Training will be provided by Yale School of Medicine faculty members Yann Poncin, MD; Deepa Camenga, MD, MHS; Yanki Yazgan, MD; Katherine Mini, MD; and Dorothy Stubbe, MD.
This program was developed by the REsource for Advancing Children’s Health (REACH) Institute to provide pediatric primary care providers with the latest evidence-based therapies to diagnose and treat mental health disorders.
