I'm actually wondering how "taboo" mental health really is in Nigeria because my mom got diagnosed with schizophrenia when she was in college in the 70s. She was able to recieve medication in her 20s in Nigeria, and my parents don't have a wealthy background. They were seminary students when they met.
My family says I’m demon possessed, selfish, attention seeking and I lack faith… I’m a Christian but I still need to take meds and go to therapy to feel just okay… I hate my family…
