Chaffee County Public Health has launched a new program called “We Are Chaffee’s Heart,” an initiative designed to strengthen mental health awareness and support throughout the community.

The program focuses on helping participants build confidence in recognizing and responding to signs of emotional distress, reducing stigma surrounding mental health, addressing common misconceptions, and strengthening the countywide network of care.

Organizers say the training also provides practical, real-world skills that can help people support friends, family members, coworkers, neighbors, and others who may be struggling.

“We Are Chaffee’s Heart” is designed for teams, organizations, businesses, and community groups. The free three-hour program aims to create a stronger, more connected, and supportive community across Chaffee County.
