You may have notice a new sign for the Wellness Center at 400 Utah Street, formerly the home of the Lend A Hand Program. Well, they’ve completely remodeled the building and it will now house different types of services needed by Boulder City residents. One such service is related to mental health and we’re going to tell you about two women who have joined forces to help our community.

Allison Palmer is the woman behind Allison Palmer NP LLC. She is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practioner. She works with clients to customize a treatment plan that works best for them and she treats seniors, adults, adolescents, and children. Some of the conditions she treats include:

ADHD
Anxiety
Behavioral issues
Bipolar Disorder
Conduct Disorders
Depression
Emotional Disturbance
Mood Disorders
OCD
Psychosis
Sleep Disorders
Suicidal Thoughts

She is familiar with Boulder City, having worked at Boulder City Hospital for many years. She decided to open her office here in Boulder City because she enjoys working with the residents here and she wants to give them an easier, local option for mental health care. Too often, patients find it difficult to be consistent with their treatment plans because of the distance involved in getting care. Now we all have a local option!

She currently accepts Medicare, Aetna, and private pay clients. She is working on contracting with other insurance companies and she can provide more information about that during a consultation. Consultations are free, and last about 15 minutes. Appointments can be made for an in-person visit at her office and she also has availability evenings and weekends, if that is more convenient for the client. She also offers telehealth visits.

Allison can be reached by calling (702) 350-1451 or via email by clicking HERE.

Sandra Calvillo is the owner of Inner Workings Therapy, and a licensed mental health therapist who specializes in supporting older adults through major life changes and transitions. She has also worked at Boulder City Hospital for many years and she’s excited to continue her career in Boulder City. Some of her other services include:

Adjustment challenges
Anxiety
Caregiver stress
Changes in health
Depression
Grief
Loss of independence
Major life changes

She sees adult patents and accepts Medicare, Aetna, and private pay clients. She is available for in-person therapy, as well as telehealth appointments, for client convenience.

Sandra can be reached by calling (702) 625-3585 or by emailing her HERE.

Both women are available to collaborate with clients to develop treatment goals and desired outcomes. Each plan is customized to the clients needs and desires as everyone’s situation is different. If a client has had a previous negative experience with mental health services, they encourage you to reach out to them.

You can meet both of these women at one of two open houses they will be holding next week. The open houses will take place at The Wellness Center, located at 400 Utah Street, next to St Christopher Episcopal Church. The dates and times are as follows:

Tuesday, June 23, 2026 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM or Saturday, June 27,2026 from 12:00PM to 3:00PM

Why not stop by and welcome Allison and Sandra to The Wellness Center? They will be able to answer further questions about treatment plans, insurance, and you can check out the new center. Water and light snacks will be provided. See the flyer below for all the details!
