THOMASVILLE — The Thomasville Kiwanis Club recently welcomed representatives from Archbold to share information about the behavioral health services available in the community through the Archbold Northside Center and the Archbold Voluntary Detox Program.
Presenters included Wendy Beatty, Community Educator Coordinator, David Griner, Administrator, and Crystal Wells, Administrator, who provided Kiwanis members with an overview of the programs and services available to individuals and families seeking mental health and substance use treatment.
The presentation highlighted the critical role of behavioral health services in improving individuals’ well-being and strengthening communities. Members learned about the services offered through Archbold Northside, including mental health assessments, geriatric care, counseling, treatment services, and support resources for individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges.
The speakers also discussed the Archbold Voluntary Detox program at Archbold Grady, where individuals can begin the recovery process and connect with ongoing treatment and support services.
In addition to discussing available services, the presenters emphasized the importance of community awareness, education, and reducing the stigma often associated with mental health and substance use disorders. The information shared helped attendees better understand the challenges many individuals face and the resources available to support recovery and long-term wellness.
“We appreciate Wendy, David, and Crystal taking the time to share information about these important programs,” said Dana Stewart, President of the Thomasville Kiwanis Club. “Their presentation helped our members gain a greater understanding of the behavioral health resources available in our region and the positive impact these services have on individuals, families, and our community.”
