And this is exactly why we don't have mental health hospitals the way we used to. People that work there can't keep their hands off the patients. It's disgusting
I tried to find a lawyer to sue them years ago, on behalf of my son. He still has Ptsd from his stay there. It really messed him up. Multiple occasions of abuse from staff and residents. Unsafe situations, physical and mental abuse.
My 13 year old daughter has been in *8* different Indiana facilities. ….these are the same things she has told me about these places. Indiana’s pediatric mental healthcare system is in shambles. And every self respecting staff member in the industry knows it.
Places like this will hold people against their will as long as insurance will pay. There are actually countless stories like this from all over the country, it literally happens every day in every city in America but I guess it's just not something that people speak up about enough. I just saw another local news piece from Michigan about patients voluntarily checking themselves for suicide help and being kidnapped for weeks and losing their jobs. This wasn't one person it was multiple at the same place in Michigan. They're still kidnapping people there today presumably because despite going to the police the local news was told nothing was illegal.

I will say from experience at the age of 55, being adopted they were closed cases so you didn't know much about the birth parents in the 60s😮😊

Please anyone going through this come forward and report it. Also try to find a faith based facility
Ghoulish abuse of authority.
