  1. Hello! Kinda random but i'm having some weird heart palpitations and stuff. And i know you mentioned struggling with something similar and i was wondering what the problem was for you?

  2. I'm 72 & just discovered that I'm AuDHD (not just ADHD) within the last 6 months due to my 35 yr old ADHD son's encouraging me to watch both of your videos & it's answered SO many life struggles though I sure wish I'd had any idea years earlier, but what a relief anyway!

  3. This was a great topic! I’m a 34 year old man and I just became aware that I’m autistic about 8 months ago – I received my diagnosis just a few weeks ago. I hope more research is done on the topic of how and if autism presents differently in different genders. My fiancé and I have noticed my autism presents very much so in the ‘female’ presentation and not at all in the ‘male’ presentation. This makes me wonder to what degree those different presentations are biological vs socially constructed differences. I’m not an expert, I’m still in my becoming aware phase but yeah – my autism is very ‘female presenting’ even though I’m a man. I just find that fascinating! Thanks.

  4. You or your assistant replied to a comment on your last video about dating. Was thinking another viewer might leave a reply but it was a really nice suprise and message. Got diagnosed at 39 a few weeks ago. This episode was really interesting and something i searched on YouTube before finding your channel and couldn't see any videos specifically about how narcissistic abuse affects autistic people. Hope you can talk about it some more in the future! Its been a really tough start to this year and watching your videos has been really helpful! You have a really great and calm energy, i subscribed and look forward to seeing more content, thanks and love from the UK

  5. This is amazing! It's a similar feeling to finding out that two of my friends know each other from somewhere else.

Instead of writing a twenty-paragraph essay, I'll put in a video request for either (or both) of you: workplace trauma, and how job stressors can seep over to the rest of your life.

Thanks for doing this, ladies! Great video, as always!

  6. I was really looking forward to this with two people I resonate with. But Taylor, your comments on not being able to take time to read what people write or that they send you book chapters… it happens for two reasons. First, it’s hard to find people that understand the autistic experience and people want to reach out, as I did, to express appreciation and the connection to being understood. And also to speak to and feel a part of the community. Second, as I saw earlier today, you specifically asked people to put in the comment section stories, so I spent time explaining a story online. Do you just ask people to do that because it gives you more viewers or money, something with the algorithm if you get a certain amount of comments? Because don’t ask people to comment and share their book chapters with you if you don’t even care. I will delete and never post again, I had thought I was engaging in a community facilitated by you. It’s typical dfw behavior to say one thing and then have a totally different side internally. Thanks for your honesty so I know where you’re at.

  7. There are a couple additional major issues with distinguishing cptsd from autism in my experience. First, many victims of childhood trauma like myself have forgotten much, if not all, of their childhoods. That makes finding investigating the time before trauma (if it existed) very difficult. Second, such trauma forces many of us to remain unseen and unheard which later in life can mask the more typically salient autism traits like "awkward" speak or oversharing.

  8. 32:54 Even without self-silencing, communication is difficult for us. Before I was diagnosed, I wasn't even able to communicate my internal experience to someone who, in retrospect, was also an undiagnosed autist.
