  1. Seems accurate, woke up crying my eyes out feeling real sorry for myself, asking for water (because the tube in my mouth made my throat so dry) 😅😂

  2. When I woke up after open heart surgery I yelled at the doctor – told him he ruined my life! I feel so bad to this day for doing that. Please forgive me doc.

  3. I love your channel. You help and educate ! wish Id checked your channel before surgery! Thank you so much for all you do and all your helpful information

  4. Dear Dr. Thank you for all you teach us. I have a question. Please respond.
What must a patient do to get proper medical care after being the subject of medical teaching, medical research, and medical experiments and now under a black list for "do not treat"?
I am a victim and fear I'll die as a result of medical care denied by doctors and by hospitals.
    Kindly respond.

  5. I wasn’t violent after surgery but the following day I cried as I remembered something one of the nurses said to my dad which was, don’t worry we’ll take care of your precious daughter. They were so sweet 🥺. And I cried about other things too for a couple days after surgery 😅

  6. I can’t stop throwing up bile after every time i have anaesthetics then have to have an antiemetic injection to stop it. After having colonoscopy and biopsies done I couldn’t stop vomiting as well as the air in my colon causing cramps and every time I got cramps I would vomit. It came in waves so I knew I was going to vomit, I would get cramps starts sweating then puke in wakes. Put on a recovery ward with 30 other patients and they expected me to pass gas in front of all those people. So embarrassing. NHS of the UK for ya.

  7. Thats why it is your job to limit the meds needed for the surgery. General Anesthesia is not ment to be used for all surgeries. It is only ment for surgeries that absolutely require it because the patient will be in extreme pain or die without it. Most surgeries don't require sedation or General anesthesia. Regional and local is better for most surgeries. Versed is the worst thing you can give a mentally ill person. It already can cause PTSD but a already mentally ill person will go berserk. This is why I don't trust most anesthesiologists. They try to find every exuse to pump you full of drugs. Most common surgeries require non of these drugs. Many new anesthesiologists find General Anesthesia to be unethical. They will recommend Regional anesthesia for orthopedic surgeries. Evern for heart surgery it is safer to be awake. If the scared of the idea tell them you will have a tarp in front of your face and won't be able to see or feel anything. We can give you headphones because their will he drilling, and other loud noises going on and play some music for you.

  8. It doesn't bother me waking up, but I am super depressed for up to a week or two after depending. But now we know what to expect, and my family keeps an eye on me, and I make sure to book therapy etc. accordingly.

  9. Ooh, do one about anaphylactic shock under anesthesia! I reacted to rucoronium, they stabilized me enough for the surgeon to do the surgery, and then I spent 23 hours in the ICU under observation. It was wild afterward , hearing the doctors talk (blood sugar at 500!) and watching the monitor (when I looked the first time, my blood pressure was at 85 over 45 🫨.) As the doctor said, if you're going to have an anaphylactic reaction, directly in front of an anesthesiologist is the right place to do it 😂

  10. I wake up.kicki h and screaming so fast. Im up before im in recovery. I also woke up during an EGD and wouldn't follow directions. I always tell them to make sure they dose me well.

  11. I mean after being on night shift and having something akin to Cptsd. Your magic juice was the best sleep I have ever gotten. 45 min felt like 12 hrs.

  12. Oh man i had a gastroscopy almsot 2 weeks ago and I don't remeber about 48 hrs after and had more pain and nausea for over a week later causing me to loose work hours 😮‍💨😵‍💫

  13. I woke up with a severe panic attack but I knew right away I was panicking and tried to calm down. I felt violated and was afraid because the nurses were laughing as I was going under, and it felt menacing. The fact that I was a heavy weed smoker at the time really did a number on me. But now that I realized what has happened, I can deal with the sudden and unusual extreme paranoia and anger I suffered right after!! Now that I know why, I know what I can do about it.
