Levels of Care Along the Behavioral Healthcare Continuum [Broadcast November 8, 2022]
In this presentation we’ll be discussing the levels of care along the behavioral healthcare continuum: traditional outpatient care, intensive outpatient program (IOP), partial hospitalization program (PHP) or “day treatment,” community integration/extended care, residential care, sub-acute hospital care, acute psychiatric hospital care, and acute hospital care. Key points will cover understanding the different levels of psychiatric care, the barriers resulting from improper support levels and clinical settings, as well as balancing needs and levels of intervention.
