Here’s what the county is looking for in applicants for the Board of Mental Health & Recovery Services.

LUCAS COUNTY, Ohio — The Board of Lucas County County Commissioners is looking for residents to serve on its Mental Health and Recovery Services Board. 

Four seats, with terms expiring on June 30, 2030, are open for applications. The Board is expected to make an appointment to these seats on June 2 of this year. 

These board members will help plan, fund and oversee mental health and substance use disorder services for Lucas County residents. Commissioners said board members play a vital role in shaping the policies and priorities that guide how behavioral health services are delivered throughout the community. 


Who can apply?

Any Lucas County resident can apply to serve on the board, but commissioners said they are specifically seeking the following representatives:

– Family member of someone who is or has received mental health or substance use disorder services

– Emerging technology professionals
