LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – One in five young people struggles with a mental health condition, and United ISD is taking action.

The district’s Guidance and Counseling Department is launching a series of Mental Health Fairs throughout May, starting Monday, May 4, at Lyndon B. Johnson High School.

The first fair runs from 2:55 to 4:15 p.m. at the LBJ gym on Cielito Lindo Boulevard.

Students and families can expect mental health education, resources and tools to help empower young people.

Additional fair dates are scheduled for May 12, 14 and 20.
