The free, family-friendly event will connect the Aldine ISD community with wellness resources.

Aldine ISD will host the More Good Days Together Mental Health Awareness Fair on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 5 p.m. at Davis High School, located at 12525 Ella Blvd.

The free, family-friendly event is designed to connect the Aldine ISD community with mental health and wellness resources in a welcoming, supportive environment. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn coping strategies, discover local services, and connect directly with experts who can help address mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs.

Because sometimes, the first step toward a better day is simply knowing where to turn.

The event’s theme — More Good Days Together — reflects the district’s commitment to helping families access the tools, support, and community resources they need to thrive.

What to Expect

During the fair, attendees can meet local mental health organizations, learn more about mental and behavioral health services, explore substance use resources, and connect with providers who support children, families, and the broader community.

The event will also feature breakout sessions on important topics, including how to talk with your child about mental health and how social media affects the brain. Families can also enjoy food trucks, a DJ, and fun activities in a friendly setting.

Participating organizations include the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, Northwest Assistance Ministries, Memorial Hermann; LifeMind Therapy, PLLC; Chosen Behavioral, Konnecting the Dots Developmental Institute, Admore Group, Life Enhancement Services of Texas, Santa Maria Hostel, and others such as Discount School Supply.

Our Why

“Supporting mental health means helping the whole child,” said Dr. Marcie Strahan, Aldine ISD’s executive director of Mental Health and School Support. “The fair is based on a simple idea: When families know where to get help, there will be more good days. This brings students, families, staff, and partners together in one place so they can ask questions, find help, and know they are not alone. Working together brings more good days to our children, families, and community.”
