Thank you to all those that participated in the BMS Schizophrenia Awareness Walk held on May 2 in Wellsville.
In spite of the chilly weather, our event was a success.
Special thanks to Samantha Veach for traveling in from the WNY Field Office for Mental Health (Buffalo), Rev. James Hartwell from Immaculate Conception Parish (opening prayer) and Drew Evans (pics).
This first event in a month of outreach was a great walk through the village led by our banner team making it clear our mission: Mental Health and Schizophrenia Awareness. We want everyone to know:
You are not the only one and you are not alone! If you or someone you know is struggling, reach out…help is out there.

The second event of the month is an Information Booth located on Wellsville’s Main Street by L’Italia restaurant. Here is last years booth so you’ll know what to look for and we are right across the street from From the Hart Irish Store!
Those who stop by the booth will be able to take a variety of free info with them about schizophrenia & mental health. A mental health professional as well as a representative from the Sheriff’s Department will be present at the booth.
If you attend you can be entered into a drawing for some local gift certificates. Stop by and say hello!
