SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – May is National Mental Health Awareness Month and local mental-health experts visited Morning Break with tips on how to recognize if a family member is experiencing a crisis.

Phylicia Anderson, a licensed clinical social worker at Gateway Behavioral Health, also shared information on the 12th Annual Coastal Georgia Mental Health Symposium at Georgi Southern’s Armsrtong campus May 14.

Vira Salzburn, the director of impact at the Mediation Center of the Coastal Empire, provided information on community resources available for children and adults experiencing mental-health issues.
