Katharine Walser, PMHNP, Joins Oswego Health’s Mental Health & Wellness Team

(Oswego, NY – May 18, 2026) Oswego Health is pleased to welcome Katharine Walser, PMHNP, RN, to its growing Mental Health & Wellness team at the Lobdell Center in Oswego.

Walser brings extensive behavioral health experience spanning inpatient, outpatient, and emergency psychiatric settings, caring for patients across the lifespan including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations. Known for her compassionate approach and strong care coordination skills, she has built a career centered on empathetic communication, cultural sensitivity, and fostering meaningful connections with patients and families.

Prior to joining Oswego Health, Walser served in psychiatric nursing roles at Greater Binghamton Health Center, San Mateo Medical Center in California, Sempervirens Psychiatric Unit in Eureka, California, the University of Vermont Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital, and Polara Health’s Windhaven Inpatient Psychiatric Center in Arizona. She also spent more than a decade with SUNY Upstate Medical University, where she worked in a variety of specialties including adult inpatient psychiatry, pediatric and adolescent outpatient care, ambulatory surgery, PACU, and neuroscience step-down services.

Walser earned her Master of Science in Nursing from SUNY Upstate Medical University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from SUNY Empire State College and an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Onondaga Community College.

Her addition reflects Oswego Health’s continued investment in expanding access to mental health services across Central New York. Through its comprehensive Mental Health & Wellness program, Oswego Health provides both inpatient and outpatient counseling, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, crisis intervention, and specialized behavioral health services designed to support both adults and youth throughout the region.
