Methodist Jennie Edmundson Behavioral Health held a ribbon-cutting on Tuesday for its new 96-bed hospital in Council Bluffs.The hospital is at the corner of South 24th Street and Richard Downing Avenue, near the Amazon fulfillment center.It is set to begin serving patients in June. It is a joint venture between Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital and Acadia Healthcare.Officials said the facility will expand access to behavioral health care for children, adolescents, adults and older adults across western Iowa and eastern Nebraska.
