Stasia Huiner, chief operating officer of Mindpath Health, has taken the reins as the company’s new CEO and will also join the company’s board of directors effective immediately.

Huiner succeeds Stephen Farber, who served as the company’s CEO since 2023. Farber will stay on as a director for the outpatient mental health provider’s board. The company has also added its chief medical officer, Dr. Priyanka, to the board of directors.

The leadership changes reflect what the company calls “its next phase.” That phase will include better integration with physical healthcare and new services. Mindpath Health recently added interventional psychiatry services — including both transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and ketamine treatment — to its repertoire of care modalities, which Huiner told Behavioral Health Business will be a key focus in care delivery going forward.

“We are increasingly hearing from primary care providers, specialty practices, and large health organizations that they want mental health integrated into the physical healthcare continuum,” Huiner told BHB. “That means the episodic care models of today are likely going to need to be complemented by approaches that involve greater integration, navigation and feedback loops between physical and behavioral health. Outpatient mental healthcare also lacks meaningful industry-standard quality metrics, and that’s something our sector needs to work on together.”

Huiner brings upwards of 20 years of experience in healthcare to the CEO role, with past leadership experience at Tenet Healthcare and SCI Solutions (now R1 RCM).

As the company’s chief operating officer since 2024, Huiner oversaw projects to broaden patient access, grow into new markets and enhance existing clinician tools and support.

“In my time as COO, the partnership between operations and clinical has been critical to making a real difference in our support infrastructure, in sustainability, and ultimately in patient outcomes,” Huiner said. “Going forward, that partnership will continue between me and our chief medical officer, Dr. Priyanka, who has been a practicing clinician, leader, and culture champion at Mindpath for years. Together, our primary focus will be on offering high-quality care and creating the right environment for our clinicians to practice and grow.”

When Huiner’s predecessor, Farber, joined Mindpath as CEO three years ago, his focus as he took over the C-suite was primarily around organizational integration, he previously told BHB.

At that time, Mindpath Health was two years into the merger that created the company as it is known today. Community Psychiatry and Mindpath Care Centers rebranded as Mindpath Health following the 2021 transaction.

Immediately after the integration, former Mindpath CEO Christopher Brengard detailed expansion plans after a wave of de novo openings and facility purchases. Shortly thereafter, however, it closed offices across Ohio and made several layoffs as part of a restructuring process. That was when CEO Brengard stepped down and Farber was named his successor.

During Farber’s three-year tenure, Mindpath Health found itself at the center of two major lawsuits. One centered on a data breach that exposed personal health information of 193,947 individuals in June 2022, which the company settled for $3.5 million. The other centered on a whistleblower case that alleged Mindpath had fraudulently billed for therapy and medication management, which it settled for $1.9 million in December 2025.

Additional details were not shared on what or where it may focus on expanding next. However, Huiner did share that the company will remain focused on investing in organic growth and deepening commitments in the existing communities it serves.

“The through-line for me is simple: it has never been more important to offer timely, high-quality, compassionate care to people of all ages struggling with their mental health,” Huiner said. “That’s what Mindpath does, and that’s what we’ll keep building toward.”
