Memorial Hospital is pleased to welcome Michala Westfall, Licensed Social Worker (LSW), to its Behavioral Health team, expanding access to compassionate behavioral health services for individuals and families across the region.

As an LSW in Illinois, Westfall brings more than 10 years of experience in social services, a strong background in mental and behavioral health and specialized training in trauma-informed care. She has extensive experience supporting youth and adults navigating anxiety, depression, impulsivity, life adjustment concerns and attachment/abandonment difficulties.

Westfall’s clinical interests include trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, attachment-based approaches and therapy techniques focused on emotional regulation, resilience and self-advocacy. She is especially passionate about working with children and families and collaborating with local schools and community organizations to support mental wellness.

In addition to her professional work, Westfall has volunteered since 2023 as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) within the Hancock County judicial system, serving as a voice for children who have experienced abuse or neglect.

Outside of work, Westfall enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, coaching softball and visiting her favorite state, Tennessee.

Westfall will provide services to elementary- through high school–age students through the Memorial Medical Clinic Mobile unit. Memorial Medical Clinic Mobile is a licensed rural health clinic that provides essential behavioral health counseling services by traveling to schools across Hancock County, ensuring accessible support for students in the region.
