The Centers, one of Northeast Ohio’s largest and most comprehensive behavioral health providers, will name its new Behavioral Health Crisis Center under development on the former St. Vincent Charity Medical Center campus in downtown Cleveland, the Glick Recovery Campus in honor of a gift from JoAnn and Bob Glick, according to a news release.

The new facility, scheduled to open in September, will serve as the front door to the behavioral health system in Cuyahoga County, offering immediate, specialized care for individuals experiencing mental health or substance use crises. It will house a community health clinic offering outpatient behavioral health services, primary care and a pharmacy.

“We are deeply honored and humbled by the Glicks’ dedication to our community,” Eric Morse, president and CEO of The Centers, said in the release. “Their generous support allows us to reimagine crisis care in Cleveland, transforming how we respond to our neighbors in need, moving away from emergency rooms and jails toward a safe, welcoming, and dignity-focused space.”

The Glick Recovery Campus at The Centers will feature:

• A 40-chair, “living room” model crisis clinic, focusing on stabilization

• Walk-in Behavioral Health Urgent Care with an on-site pharmacy

• 16-bed psychiatric stabilization and

12-bed withdrawal management units

• 24/7 operation with peer-support specialists, nurses, and psychiatric providers

By providing a dedicated space for crisis care and healing, the Glick Recovery Campus will touch about 12,000 lives annually, offering a path to recovery, according to the release.

The Glicks are dedicated to community health, access to compassionate care and mental health initiatives across Cuyahoga County.

“Our mission is to ensure that everyone in our community has access to high-quality care, especially in their most vulnerable moments,” JoAnn and Bob Glick said in a joint statement. “We believe that this new Recovery Campus is a game-changer for Cleveland, providing the right care, in the right place, at the right time. We are proud to partner with The Centers and the community to bring this vision to life.”

The cost of the project is $34.3 million, according to the release.

Through the support of the Glicks, Cuyahoga County Opioid Fund, the ADAMHS board of Cuyahoga County, the Ohio Department of Behavioral Health, Sisters of Charity Health System and other philanthropic partners, most of the project is funded. However, a $2.7 million funding gap remains.
