TUCSON, AZ (AZFamily) — A former mental health counselor in Tucson has been arrested on child sex crime allegations, and federal investigators are looking for more potential victims.

Xiomar Diaz, 33, was arrested following allegations that he created child sexual abuse material involving at least one victim who lives in Tucson.

The arrest came after a joint investigation by the Tucson Police Department and the Department of Homeland Security.

Authorities said Diaz worked with children as a counselor at a large behavioral health provider in Tucson. Investigators also said he used the usernames “velander12” and “Xixi” while communicating with children online.

Because Diaz worked with or near children, authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying any potential victims who may have had contact with him.

Anyone whose child, or a child they know, had contact with Diaz is asked to call the ICE Tip Line at 866-DHS-2-ICE, submit a tip through ICE’s online tip form or contact local law enforcement.
