INDIANAPOLIS — June is men’s health month. Indianapolis Urban League and Marlo’s Barbershop are teaming up to help encourage men to focus on health – providing a space for real conversations that matter.

On Wednesday, George Wooden, a community health worker, and Michael Woods, a caseworker with the Indianapolis Urban League, joined the FOX59 Midday News to talk about the Men’s Health Day Barbershop Talk, which will take place at 2 p.m. on Friday at Marlo’s Barbershop, located at 5917 East 86th Street.

The two stated that the goal of the event is to address high suicide rates among men and why it is important to have these kinds of conversations. For more information, click here.
