Lamar full stop broke my heart. Betrayal is a hard experience to overcome. Vets struggling with identity, connection, purpose while unpacking the selfish pricks that run our world should pierce all our hearts with rage. Love, belonging, feeling seen and heard and having meaning are deep human needs. Our world is so shallow. How are we all not depressed and defeated. Much love to everyone who shared their pain. We see and hear you. We carry you in our collective hearts.

A lot of these people really confuse depression with sadness… they're very different animals.
The problem is I have NOOOO people to help me with or who I can open up to !!!!!! Everyone I opened up to went away and didn’t want to help I’m traumatized and alone and lonely no body wants to help
Even though I helped everyone for years and years and the same people are ignoring my need for help and leaving me alone
Lamar, I genuinly hope you read the comments because I thank you very much for your story and the fact that you sat there and were able to talk abt it showed hope and that there is a big part of you that still believes and I agree with Dr. K I also think that you can be helped and also think that you can help yourself so much as well because you know yourself so well. Jokes aside, this was really deep episode.
The musician was told “as long as you are not happy with yourself, you will be dependent on the people around you to get that sense of happiness”
And his response was a dismissive laugh saying no he wont be doing that…..because all he absorbed was the immediate follow up personal example of the psychiatrists finding peace by no letting go of the pressure of dating.
Seriously. Nothing behind the musicians eyes the second it was his turn to speak.
Watching C specifically I just wanted to hug them so badly. You can see the hope and relief in their eyes when Dr. K says "we can heal from this". Ugh I want more episodes like this.
I don't want to say much because this is the internet. But hearing these conversations really touched me in a way that nothing has in a long time. I love you all. This gives me strength (?) To keep trying. I'm sending many well wishes and courage, bravery, but so much love, to anyone who reads this.

Gee, these depressed people are really nice! I just love them all. But gee, they really have some overwhelming problems….no wonder they are depressed. Each one could have there own show with Dr K. Such beautiful people I wish they were not so tormented.
