Thank u for another great vid ! ❤❤❤
u always help me out ❤
This was what I was looking for several years ago. Unfortunately very few therapists use it, (where I live), and the ones that do, are not taking new patients. I will look into what I can do on my own, as I was recently overwhelmed by a new “friendship”. Had to call it off, as I just couldn’t deal with the guilt, and walking on eggshells again. I don’t think I was wrong to end it, I just know I handled it all very poorly. At least I noticed the pattern this time, and didn’t let it go on longer. 💖
Will add this to list of my all mental disorders and DAMN is there a lot
Is this the same as cognitive behavioral therapy?
Can you do a video about detachment 😢
Please note, not all therapy works for everyone. This is an educational video explaining what it is and how it works. If you find this helpful, please share this shorts! We can create a series on this if there is enough request on it. As always, consult a mental health professional to find the best therapy for you.
That would be good
Good advice. It sounds like a deep dive. That's aot of work.
Interesting. I like the terms.
👍👍
I highly recommend DBT. It improved my life SO much. For anyone worried about being unable to find a therapist that teaches it, the PDF of the handbook is free online because Marsha Linehan never copyrighted it for that reason. There are also discord communities centered around DBT! There are free resources out there and they’re a real blessing ❤
Somehow I've been doing this without knowing😭
Im just realising, that my coping mechanism arent as unhealthy as I thought
And that they are some methods and techniques used in therapy
Who would've thought I was giving myself therapy lol💀
Atleast now I know, I'm doing it right
I should try this
I‘d love to have everyone having a counsellor to speak to as it‘s beneficial for everyone, like a coach, processing emotions & reflecting. This therapy is super beneficial I have experience in it too. Good to inform. For me, it had the best results. Mental health is so important! Yes animation styles are so Loveable ❤
DBT is not only used for over-emotional people. On the opposite end, after childhood abuse, my body shut down in processing physical and emotional pain so i can cope with daily life (kind of defense mechanism). After growing up, I still have trouble "feeling" anything, like flat line mood 24/7 (not depress) just everything is mehh, neither happy nor sad and physically lack awareness. My counsellor worked with me using DBT to get in touch with my emotions and physical awareness.
hi friends 🙂 dbt is the best. i used to deem my bpd as terminal, but with the help of dbt, im actively putting my bpd into remission.
I don't appreciate the speeded up commentary, it makes me feel anxious.
Unfortunately it's very expensive, and most people who need this treatment can't afford it… funny world we live in. Great video nonetheless ^^
Useful therapy 👍
Love your videos making style😊
DBT has absolutely helped me! I was taking DBT before i had been diagnosed with BPD, partly because my psychologist led a group and recognized that i had those traits, even if i didn’t yet have an accurate diagnosis. These skills are more helpful than anything when I start getting disregulated.
I also get confused in my own thoughts and confused on nothing 😅
Saved my life and friendships
Helped me to stop automutilation for 2 years. Buying the book myself bc i can't have this therapy were I live , close to home😞
Not everyone can afford a mental health professional.
I’m not sure about everyone else, but when I did dbt, I had such a bad experience, I was blamed, and shamed for relapses, and also whenever their “skills” didn’t work. I was told by my therapist “it’s like we’re in a rowboat going down a river, and I’m the only one rowing”. It was so deeply hurtful, I was trying so hard for so long to get better but she basically told me that I’m actively trying to not get better. I came out of dbt worse than I went in, and I went in in an awful state. And they just didn’t care about my problems, my therapist forgot massive details I told her. And on my final session, she basically shamed me and guilt tripped me for leaving
DBT is absolutely incredible.
We rly gotta get rid of this therapy, for some of us it's done more harm than good
I love the channel. I found DBT to be useless and filled with psychobabble. I'm unsure if anyone else feels this way, but it's the new “pop” in pop psychology.
dialectical thinking has left this whole comment section 🤦🏻♀️ i really think she’s being genuine and not a hypocrite, y’all are projecting so hard
