If you are experiencing these symptoms you need to seek help from a professional. Go see your doctor and get an accurate diagnosis to figure out a good treatment plan for you. Remember depression and anxiety are real medical conditions and should be treated just as diabetes or high blood pressure need to be treated. You shouldn’t feel any different treating any one of these medical conditions

  1. My experience with cymbalta, did nothing for pain, absolutely nothing. Ended up in a state of psychosis for about a week or so I was told. All SSRI’s make sex for men impossible, not just decreased libido. At one point I was on 120 mg Prozac, 450 welbrutin, 7.5mg abilify 4mg clonazepam, all together for almost a year. After the psychosis episode.
Off all now but had an experience much like DMT then was off everything within 3 weeks. Hard to believe.

  2. 5-HTP available at walmart for $9.00 treats depression with no side effects. No need to see a doctor just head to walmart snd pick up. 5-HTP is a precursor to serotonin and helps your body create serotonin. Absolutely no side effects. 5-HTP is an amino acid not a chemical made by big pharma.

  3. First time coming across a Dr so honest and with no conlicting interests. Thanks Dr. In an unethical world medical ,pharmaceutical exploitation happen everyday you stand out as an exception. I take lexapro 10mg and that some how manages me to fight the life energy draining depression.I also take 400mg modafinil in the morning for15 years to start the day. I would like your answer on dosulepin 25mg. I also take 1.5 mg klonopin for years. As a dr you know what best works for the patient he only knows. We have other psychosicial factors which challenge our serenity built up by medicines going down the gutte by the behavior of others. .For me spiritual reading and other distractions help during such time..Thanks once again for speaking so honestly and with love,.May God bless you and your family always.❤

  4. It is quite unfortunate that Cymbalta / Duloxetine is so sedating. It's why I had to stop after 4 days. I was in bed as if I were sick. So far, I'm not getting the help I need. I would now like to try therapeutic psychedelics, because I'm out of options. But I don't know where to get them.

  5. You make them all sound so benign. Zoloft put me into akathesia within 20 minutes. It was horrific. And you didn't mention pssd… Post SSRI sexual dysfunction.

  6. I took sertraline for about 1.5 years. It helped get me out of a breakdown/burnout. It did kill sex drive and made it very difficult to finish. It doesn’t make you happy but does keep you from going low.

  7. Anxiety and Depression happens when you think you have to figure out everything all at once.
Breathe. You're strong. You got this . Take it day by day
